Mr. P.N.C. Menon is the founder of the SOBHA Group of companies. A first generation entrepreneur, Mr. Menon began his professional career by setting up an interior decoration firm in the Sultanate of Oman in 1976. He has since then incorporated several companies in the Sultanate of Oman, United Arab Emirates and Qatar and also expanded into construction and real estate development. He founded SOBHA Limited in Bangalore in 1995. A plethora of awards have been bestowed on Mr. Menon. Some of them include the 'Golden Peacock Lifetime Achievement Award for Business Leadership' by the Institute of Directors in 2014 and the 'Lifetime Achievement Award' in 2013 at the NDTV Property Awards. In addition to this, he was awarded the prestigious 'Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Puraskar' by the then Honourable President of India, Ms. Pratibha Patil, in 2009. He is also a member of the Prime Minister's Advisory Council of Overseas Indians.
Mr. Ravi P.N.C. Menon has been the Chairman of SOBHA since June 2012. A graduate in Civil Engineering from Purdue University, USA, he joined the Company in 2004. Over the past decade, he has handled and mastered the areas of Project Execution, Quality, Technology, Process & IT, Customer Relationship Management, Design & Engineering and many other facets of the business. He has contributed significantly to product delivery, increasing it from 6 million square feet in the financial year 2004-05 to over 70.54 million square feet in cumulative up to the fiscal 2014-15. He continues to drive the organisation towards a leadership position in the real estate and construction business. Recently, he was awarded the 'Young Entrepreneur of the Year' by Construction Week and the 'EY Entrepreneur of the Year' award in the Real Estate, Energy and Infrastructure segment, making him one of the youngest recipients of this prestigious award.
Mr. J.C. Sharma has a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (Hons.) from Xavier College, Calcutta. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant and Company Secretary with over 35 years of experience in diverse industries such as automobiles, textiles, steel and real estate in the areas of finance and management. He has previously served as General Manager, Auto Distributors Limited; General Manager - Finance, Bhoruka Steels Limited; and General Manager- Commerce and Finance, Grasim Industries Limited. He has been associated with SOBHA since June 2001 and is entrusted with the responsibility of managing the overall affairs of the company, especially finances, land acquisition and legal functions. Mr. Sharma has been instrumental in spearheading the growth mantle of SOBHA.
Mr. T.P. Seetharam received MA degree in English Literature from Madras Christian College. He joined the Indian Foreign Service in 1980. After a distinguished service of 36 years as a career diplomat, he retired as Ambassador of India to UAE in August, 2016. He was also High Commissioner of India to Mauritius, Additional Secretary in Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi dealing with Western Europe & European Union, Director General of India-Taipei Association (Taiwan), Program Director in Indian Council for Cultural Relations and served in various capacities at Indian diplomatic missions in Hong Kong, Lusaka (Zambia), Windhoek (Namibia), Beijing (China), Phnom Penh (Cambodia), Johannesburg and Cape Town (South Africa) and Bangkok (Thailand). He served as Minister Counsellor in the Indian Permanent Mission to the Conference on Disarmament in Geneva (Switzerland). He was Press Secretary to H.E. Mr. K.R. Narayanan, President of India. He was also Permanent Representative of India to International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) in Abu Dhabi.
Mr. R.V.S. Rao has a Bachelor's degree in Commerce from Mysore University and a Bachelor's degree in Law from Bangalore University. Mr. Rao has over 36 years of experience in the areas of banking and finance and was a member of the Board of Directors of the Housing Development Finance Corporation Limited. He is currently a senior advisor to a London-based hedge fund. As a United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Consultant, he was the team leader who reviewed operations and made recommendations for the Housing Finance Company, Ghana, Africa. He was also the team leader of the consultancy team, which advised the National Development Bank of Sri Lanka in establishing its mortgage finance business. Mr. Rao is an associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers, Bombay and a life member of the All India Management Association.
Mr. Anup Shah has a Bachelor's degree in Commerce from HR College, Mumbai and a degree in Law from Government Law College, Mumbai. He has over 24 years of experience in the field of law, specifically real estate law. He specialises in commercial and property documentation, corporate and commercial litigation, property related issues, land laws and arbitration and alternative dispute resolution. He also answers readers' queries through "Legal Eagle", a weekly column in the Times of India, Bangalore.
Dr. Punita Kumar-Sinha is the Founder and Managing Partner, Pacific Paradigm Advisors - an independent investment advisory and management firm. She has over 25 years of experience in fund management in international and emerging markets, working with many leading firms in the US. Prior to founding Pacific Paradigm Advisors, she worked with a number of leading organisations such as the Blackstone Group, Oppenheimer Asset Management Inc., CIBC World Markets, Batterymarchand Standish Ayer & Wood.
Dr. Kumar-Sinha has a Ph.D. and a Masters in Finance from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. She received her undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering with distinction from the Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi. She has an MBA and is also a CFA Charter holder. Dr. Kumar-Sinha is a member of the CFA Institute, the Boston Security Analysts Society and the Council on Foreign Relations. She is a Charter Member and was a Board Member of TiE-Boston.
